God Is Speaking: Don’t Ignore This Message Before 2027
We should not primarily read Acts 27 as Paul got caught in a storm. That is when he boarded the ship and they got caught in that storm out at sea. It should be read as Paul was on assignment when the storm came, and he was to go before Caesar and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul was already on assignment when the storm came and that's a major biblical principle for us to understand. Being inside God's Will does not mean we will be exempt from storms. Paul was in God's purpose, under God's protection, and heading toward God's appointed destination and yet he was still caught in a violent storm. Protection doesn't always mean prevention or circumventing the storm. Sometimes God prevents the storm and sometimes God preserves you through the storm.
Acts 27:9-11
Now much time had been lost, and [b]navigation was dangerous, because even [the time for] the fast (Day of Atonement) was already over, so Paul began to strongly warn them, 10 saying, “Men, I sense [after careful thought and observation] that this voyage will certainly be a disaster and with great loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.” 11 However, the centurion [Julius, ranking officer on board] was persuaded by the pilot and the owner of the ship rather than by what Paul said.
This is taking place right after Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, is within this critical window from 9/11 to the mid-terms. It occurs on Monday, September 21, 2026. Last year, Yom Kippur was on October 1, 2025 (10+1=11 and 2+0+2+5=9 or 911). It was then that the federal government and Congress shut down.
The message was repent 911 as we were heading into 2026 with Rosh Hashanah, the feast of trumpets, and the year 5787 both beginning on 9/11/2026. Then, on July 4, 2026 (Americas 250th birthday) a storm, a mini tornado, with 80mph winds (called a microburst) came out of nowhere and hit New York State down to Washington DC. The power company, NYSEG told me themselves on the phone, “we didn’t know this storm was coming”. It was sudden. I call NY the carotid artery to Washington DC. That is how we entered Americas 250th year, which should be a prophetic warning about what is coming to NY state, NYC, Washington DC, and the mid-terms.
I was on the phone with a friend from church and we prayed together through the storm as the wind and the rain came and slammed against our house and the houses of our animals on the sanctuary. Praise God, no one as harmed and all the houses stood. However, we lost power for over 3 days. Think about that for NY state and for Washington DC. The storm comes and power gets cut for 3 days before it is restored.
Rosh Hashanah is the feast of trumpets. A trumpet is an alarm. It’s meant to draw attention on 9/11. This is a foundational battle in New York, in Congress, and in the administration. Congress must get the foundation right because of what is arising in this nation, the Democratic Socialists of America, and this unholy alliance of Islam, Democrat, and Socialist that has a foundation built on sand. It has had a veneer put over it of rock, so there is a thin outer coating made to look stable and as though it has all the answers. However, it has sand within.
This is why there must be repentance and a crying out to the Lord from the floor of congress and for the republican party right now. Mr. Speaker of the House, you must take the reins right on this. So what if you look foolish to man for a moment? Getting on your knees before the Lord will put you in the correct posture before the Lord. That is what matters right now; the heart posture, the foundation, and the willingness to surrender to the Lord because Trump’s name alone is not going to edge this out. It’s going to take intervention on the Lord’s part.
The Lord doesn’t want Trump’s name to be what saves the House. Trump is an instrument and the Lord desires to put on a demonstration in this nation. However, those in congress must be willing in this hour to get on their knees before the nation, a humbling, an Esther and Mordecai moment of fasting and prayer from our leadership. If both sides clash in pride then what will happen in the midterms will be highly unsettling for both parties.
Acts 27:11
“Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.”
This creates an important contrast. There are essentially three voices and they were Paul, the professional sailors, and the Roman authority. The voice of the Holy Spirit through Paul vs. the voice of the Roman government and the voice of the owner of the ship. 2 fleshly carnal voices vs. the Holy Spirit. This is a picture of what’s happening within Congress and the administration. The centurion who is in charge chooses the sailors' judgment. This is because Paul's warning appears to be less authoritative from a professional standpoint.
Paul is a prisoner in the natural but an apostle and high office in the spirit. The ship's master knows ships, he consistently sails. The owner knows his business. From a purely natural perspective, their decision appears reasonable. The decision is based on business sense, not spiritual sense. However, circumstances soon prove otherwise. The owner is purely looking at it from the nearsightedness of the natural and does not have the foresight from the spirit to see what is coming. It doesn’t matter how much knowledge and experience those in the government and in industry have if they operate purely in the nearsightedness of the natural and they are blindly heading in a direction.
This is one of the main issues within the administration and Congress. They are making decisions out of nearsighted knowledge, not out of long-range discernment that the Holy Spirit gives. People can reject truth because they judge the messenger rather than heed the message.
David did not have the qualifications of a seasoned warrior in the natural, yet he was chosen by God as a leader and to slay Goliath who was a champion. Natural strength and accolades do not override spiritual stature and power. Paul is a prisoner. He is not the captain, the ship owner, or the Roman official. However, he correctly perceives the danger because he is relying on the best navigator that exists, the Holy Spirit. This storm is partly spiritual and that’s why the centurion and the sailors cannot see it coming. The Roman authority is relying on the fallible that has no capacity to discern what is of the spirit. This doesn't mean Christians should reject professional expertise. The Bible certainly values wisdom and skilled knowledge. Rather, Acts 27 shows that human expertise has limits and when those limits are not wisely understood, disaster can come.
A person can be extremely experienced and still be wrong about what is coming if they are not spiritually tuned in. Earthly knowledge has limits; Godly wisdom has no limits. The favorable wind was deceptive, just because for that moment the wind appeared favorable. The key word here is appeared. What was happening in the atmosphere that they could not see is where the danger was lurking. This is one of the most striking details.
Acts 27:13
“And when the south wind blew softly…”
Everything suddenly looked favorable. The sailors thought, this confirms our decision. They left Crete.
But then:
Acts 27:14
“But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind…”
The Greek expression describes a violent storm. We cannot mistake favorable natural circumstances for God’s permissiveness. Just because the natural looks favorable does not mean the spirit is aligning with that. The natural can change in a moment and that is why we need sharpened discernment to discern when those winds of change are blowing in. Luke specifically calls it Euroclydon in the KJV, often rendered something like a northeaster. The lesson is that not every favorable circumstance is a divine endorsement. Sometimes circumstances can look favorable immediately before conditions dramatically change. That is why biblical discernment cannot be based exclusively upon circumstances.

And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish (stupid) man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great and complete was its fall.”

but we must run [the ship] aground on some island.” 27 The fourteenth night had come and we were drifting and being driven about in the [g]Adriatic Sea, when about midnight the sailors began to suspect that they were approaching some land.
Both in Matthew 7 and Acts 27, the storm came and they were caught in the storm. The relationship with the Lord doesn’t stop the storm from coming. However, Paul’s relationship with the Lord preserves him in peril. It sustains him in severe conditions, and it covers him in the midst of difficult circumstances. It covers him in the midst of the foolishness, stubbornness, and pridefulness of others to try to continue sailing on that ship in a storm.
This is this is profound for what we're about to see with this nation and Congress. A storm doesn't create the foundation, it reveals it. Matthew 7 explicitly teaches this. The house looked like a house before the storm. Both houses were established. The difference in foundations became obvious when pressure, the winds, the rain, and the severe circumstances came. Acts 27 exposes the difference between those who panic and Paul, who has received and believed God's Word. Therefore, the storm functions as a revealer of the foundation, as a revealer of the root system, and as a revealer of those involved. Crisis exposes character. It reveals foundations, faith, fear, obedience, endurance, trust, leadership, and dependence upon God.
What we are about to see is meant to expose down the foundations of Congress. What is going on is meant to expose in the administration, what has been overlooked and the dangers that are lurking.
The storms are going to reveal the foundation. This is why this is the warning now to Congress to get your foundation right. Those who fear God in Congress and the administration, get your foundation right, right now. The storm is going to reveal, be a plumbline, and a revealer of what foundation is what. Some of it is going to shock you because it's not just going to be black and white, Democratic and Republican. It's not just going to be black and white between all the branches that have branched out of the church.
One of the largest church systems in the world is about to have one of the greatest uprooting historically that's ever happened. I perceive that to be from the Holy Spirit right now. This is why the storm is being allowed, to expose the foundation and for God to expose that there is a foundational problem in this nation, in Congress, and in the church. It doesn't matter what you built if you have it on a faulty, corrupted, sand-like, weak foundation. It doesn't matter how ornate it is, how big it is, or how strong it looks. The components of the material are what matter.
This is a foundational battle. This is a battle for the soul of the nation. This is a covenant battle. When a covenant battle came in 1 Samuel 17, Saul was king. He looked as though he had all of the qualifications. He wore the crown, he had the robe, he had the chariots, and he had the big castle. Yet his foundation was compromised. That battle with Goliath exposed it. See, that battle was a storm. It was meant to expose and reveal who had the correct foundation to lead the kingdom.
That is coming for 2028. That is going to come and expose the one God has chosen to be the next president. He's going to allow storms to expose the foundations, to show who is compromised, and who has a foundation truly rooted in Christ.
Saul looked the part however, his foundation was completely compromised. David didn't have the crown. He had the anointing without the position. He didn't have the robes. He didn't have the chariot. He didn't have the kingdom. He didn't have the castle. He didn't have Saul's fancy battle equipment, but you know what he had? A covenant foundation with Almighty God where he had walked and talked with the Lord. He had complete trust in the Lord and in that covenant that ratified him to overcome the enemies of Israel. So, when it was revealed, the one who didn't look kingly in the natural had greater authority in the spirit, and the one who looked kingly in the natural had no authority in the spirit.
This is why the leadership of this nation has to get that straight. This is why we can't be deceived by earthly power. This is why Congress, the administration, and the church has to understand this and get this right in this time because the storms are coming. This is a foundational battle and there are nor'easters that are arising in this time that are going to look different than anything we have ever seen. The foundation is going to be exposed. The foundation will either be sustained or will bring down the house and great and complete will be its fall. The storm brings casualty when it's not a solid foundation and that's what Congress is teetering on right now. That's what areas of the administration are teetering on right now and the church. This is a foundational battle.
God doesn't always stop the storm. Many times he allows it to reveal the foundations. That's why God is going to allow what he's going to allow over the next two years. He's also going to do it to bring a humbling and greater humility in Congress and the administration because he wants the foundation right. If the foundation is completely faulty, prideful, arrogant, compromised, or fleshly, ultimately it won't hold. That is the warning and the world in this hour.
